No Vancouver neighbourhood epitomizes the West Coast beach lifestyle more than Kitsilano. Though today the area boasts a mix of more upscale shops, restaurants, and services than, say, when it was the counter-culture hippy hub back in the ’60s and ’70s, it still retains its laid-back beach vibe.
