Favourite Bars and Pubs in Kitsilano!

Share Article

Kitsilano has a great bar scene, and thanks to the small scale of Kitsilano, you don’t have to go far if you’re interested in trying a few different spots in one evening. Here is a list (that is far from all inclusive) of some of our favourite bars in Kitsilano. The neighbourhood is always changing so there is always something new to look forward to as well!

Bars and Pubs along West 4th Ave and

Bimini Public House

This is a classic Kitsilano bar. You’ll find modern pub fare, craft and domestic beer and an array of cocktails. You’ll be able to watch sports, play pub trivia and have a dance party at this bar, so plan for a good time with friends. This location is open late: 1am on weekdays and 2am on Friday and Saturday.

Local Public Eatery

During the summer months you will never see Local’s (big) patio empty and will have to get your name on the waitlist to get into the bar itself. Famous for their Caesars that come in glass boots, they also have great food, lots of TV for sports action and a great vibe.

2210 Cornwall Ave (at Yew)

Oddfish

Although this is a seafood restaurant, stopping by the bar for a quick drink here is a common practice among Kitsilano locals! Service is always top notch.

The Ellis

If you’re looking for a good cocktail bar, The Ellis should be on your list. You’ll find quality comfort food and great cocktails (what more could you want)? The room offers high tops, lots of bar seating and great booths.

2204 York Ave (at Yew St)

Corduroy

Corduroy is cozy, charming little spot with tasty food, good live music and a great feel. It’s the ultimate neighbourhood bar, especially for those long winter nights.

Bars and Pubs on the Westside of Kits

Darby’s Public House

Located in the middle of Kits is the best bar patio and a neighbourhood institution! Raised above the street so you can soak up the sun, Darby’s is a great spot for those looking for a pub with a long beer list and good food. You’ll find pub trivia and sports too.

Colony

One of the most popular bars on Broadway. Colony has become the go-to spot in Kitsilano for drinks, dinner, sports, music, pub trivia and more. They have great nachos and it always has a good vibe! Our photo above is of Colony’s bar.

3255 W Broadway (at Blenheim)

The Wolf & Hound

Your neighbourhood Irish Pub offering crafts brews, a menu full of grub, sunny south facing sidewalk seating, and live music. This is an institution on the West side of Kitsilano.

3617 W Broadway (at Dunbar)

The Fringe Cafe

The Fringe is a bar that will make you feel welcomed, and you’ll leave wanting to go back for another good night. Service is great, food is good (especially the nachos) and it’s open late!

3124 W Broadway (at Balaclava)

The Cove Pub

The Cove is a neighbourhood favourite if you live on the Westside of Kits, or play beach volleyball at Jericho in the summer! This location is popular with sports crowds and people looking for a good, casual bite to eat in the neighbourhood.

3681 W 4th Ave (at Alma)

L’Ufficio

This is not only a great restaurant (just like it’s sister restaurant La Quercia next door) but it’s a fantastic wine bar, with knowledgeable servers and delicious bites to eat. You’ll keep going once you’ve experienced it for the first time.
