Father’s Day in Kitsilano

With Father’s Day just around the corner, Kitsilano has a lot to offer in terms of great restaurants to take your dad out for brunch (or dinner!). West 4th Avenue is an especially popular area, offering a range of delicious restaurants from high end to more casual, depending on your style. We’ve created a list below of restaurants we think are good options to take your dad to this weekend!

Au Comptoir

A great spot for lunch or dinner. Au Comptoir offers a casual yet sophisticated French cuisine, with a very welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re in the mood for a croque monsieur or just looking to sip on a glass of French rosè, your dad is sure to love this restaurant.

Do you want to treat your dad to more high end dining? Bishops restaurant has one of the finest reputations in Vancouver. Having been around for years this spot is a classic. Treat your dad to organic AAA beef tenderloin or a nice pan roasted duck breast for dinner. It won’t disappoint!

Las Margaritas

Another Kitsilano classic! This spot offers some of the best Mexican comfort food around. Indulge in enchiladas, tortilla soup or their signature lime margaritas. Great for families and big groups.

Our personal favourite. Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants around, not only in Kitsilano, but in all of Vancouver! Although there is often a line up to get a table, it’s well worth the wait. Some of our top menu choices are always, the burrata prosciutto platter, the meatballs, and whatever pasta or pizza dish we’re feeling at the time (you can’t go wrong with any of them). Wash it all down with a delicious Aperol Spritz (also one of the best in the city!).

This restaurant is run by the same owners as Nook, so you know it’s going to be good! If you’re looking for a lighter yet satisfying meal this spot is the perfect option. Top of the line fresh seafood is offered here, along with an awesome atmosphere!

Does your dad love Thai food? Maenam brings together your go-to Thai dishes with a more sophisticated twist. Try their version of Pad Thai or if you prefer, do take out and enjoy their delicious food from the comfort of your own home.

For some hearty brunch options, Oakwood is the place to be. They have a one of a kind brunch poutine that your dad is sure to love. Other tasty options include their buttermilk fried chicken and cinnamon bun french toast!

These are only a few of the many restaurant options in Kitsilano to take your dad this weekend. If you’re having a tough time deciding, we promise you that none of the above restaurants will disappoint. Enjoy and Happy Father’s Day!
