John Irwin, a Vancouver Parks Commissioner, is proposing a longer swimming season for Kitsilano pool in 2020. The trial is suggesting opening two to three weeks earlier in spring and closing three to four weeks later in the fall.
“Outdoor pools are well-loved by the residents of Vancouver,” Irwin stated in his motion.
Located on Cornwall Avenue on the west side of the city, Kitsilano Pool is the city’s only saltwater swimming pool.
