This Sunday August 17th is the annual Arbutus Walk Block Party! This Annual Party is organized by the Redbud Committee and a few neighbourhood volunteers. With it being the 4th annual party, you can be sure that it’ll be a good time, with more sponsors, more events and more food available for everyone who comes. This is a family friendly (and dog friendly) event, and a great chance to meet some of your neighbours. Bring some chairs or blankets, and whatever games you’d like to play. Anyone is invited, whether you live in Arbutus Walk or not.
The Block Party runs from about 12pm to 5pm this Sunday, in various parts of Arbutus Walk, but focused on the Arbutus Walk greenway (Arbutus to Vine St), near the playground. Like any great Block Party, there will be some delicious summer foods on offer (a corn roast! and keep in mind the Kitsilano Farmer’s Market will be on the other side of Connaught Park -that’ll be a great chance to pick up some delicious summer bounty).
The Block Party will have games, including a massive fun slide, Wheel of Fortune (sponsored by London Drugs), and more.
Event sponsors include The Regal Beagle, Gramercy Grill, London Drugs, IGA, Grindstone Cafe and various strata councils of the Arbutus Walk condos.
